This blog will chronicle our (Pat and Patty Anderson's)
cruising adventures on the Great Loop!
DAY 99 - July 8, 2017
Today was our last day in Campbellford, and Campbellford's big day for events: Incredible Edibles and Chrome on the Canal!

Lamb kofte with yogurt, very good! |

Sunflower oil booth |
Incredible Edibles featured booths of all kinds of food vendors, some local beverages and live music. We tried a number of different foods, at least I did! We both had a lamb kofte skewer with yogurt on it. It really reminded us of kofte in Turkey, except it was deep fat fried instead of being grilled! I also had falafel (not so great - cold and dry), and a nice big bowl of chili with onions and cheese, which was great!
Patty bought some garlic-lemon sunflower oil, and she cooked shrimp for dinner in it. It really enhanced the flavor a lot!

Garlic and lemon sunflower oil, gave our shrimp a wonderful flavor |

Fiddle and guitar duo |

Waupoos Cide Company van |
The beverage vendors included the brewery I liked from Trenton, Wildcard Brewing, another brewery called Church Key Brewing, and Waupoos Cider Company. I opted for the cider. It was dry cider that was OK, but boy, did they have a cool delivery truck! In the music tent, we listed to a duo playing guitar and fiddle with both of them harmonizing on the vocals. Great music!
Down at the end of the street where Incredible Edibles was going on was a fire station. I thought the hose tower was unique, and the fire truck should have been down at Chrome on the Canal!

Fire station and fire truck |
Chrome on the Canal featured about two miles of classic motorcycles and cars lined up along the street that runs parallel to the Trent Severn. If I had known my '73 Honda CB500 would become a "classic," I would have found some place to squirrel it away for twenty years or so! No text, no captions, just the pictures!
Nice blog and absolutely outstanding. You can do something much better but i still say this perfect.Keep trying for the best.
